WARRANTY PERIOD:

At KMC Mining & Construction, we stand firmly behind the quality of our overhauled components. Our warranty ensures peace of mind and operational assurance:
• 6-Months or 1000-Hour Warranty: We provide a comprehensive warranty of 6 months or 1000 hours (whichever comes first) from the moment of installation or the removal of component wrapping. This reflects our commitment to your uninterrupted productivity and operational excellence.
• Extended Warranty for Delayed Installation: For components not immediately installed after rebuilding, a generous 12-month warranty applies. This commences as soon as the component’s wrapping is removed.

MAINTENANCE:

We underscore the importance of proper maintenance for sustained performance and longevity. Please note:
• Customer Responsibility: KMC is not responsible for any repair, replacement, or maintenance costs arising from neglecting recommended maintenance services. Ensuring compliance with engine manufacturers’ specifications for fuel, oil, lubricants, and coolant usage, as well as adhering to maintenance schedules and practices, remains the customer’s responsibility.
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL

DAMAGES:

While we strive for seamless performance, it’s important to understand:
• Costs Not Covered: KMC is not liable for incidental or consequential costs resulting from covered malfunctions or failures. This includes but is not limited to communication expenses, lodging, overtime, towing, downtime, inconvenience, and cargo loss or damage.

START-UP / PLACE INTO SERVICE:

To ensure optimal warranty implementation, please note:
• Attendance Requirement:
For warranty validation, a KMC representative must be present during engine start-up, after overhaul, and dynamometer testing prior to engine deployment. Failure to comply with this condition releases KMC from warranty obligations or liability related to the engine.

OTHER LIMITATIONS:

While we strive for comprehensive satisfaction, certain limitations are essential:
• Non-OEM Attachments and Accessories: Failures stemming from non-OEM attachments, accessories, or parts are not covered by our warranty.
• Abuse, Neglect, and Improper Repair: Failures resulting from abuse, neglect, improper repairs, or the installation of parts in contaminated systems are not covered.
• Customer Delays and Unauthorized Work: KMC is not liable for failures due to customer delays, unauthorized repairs or adjustments, and unauthorized fuel-setting changes.
• Exclusions from Warranty: Any repair work or replacements conducted by parties other than KMC voids the warranty. No warranty applies to re-used parts in engine overhauls.
• Alterations to Quotation: Removing items from the parts list supplied with the quotation voids the warranty on the engine overhaul. No repairs or item removals other than those by KMC are allowed during the warranty period.
• Limited Applicability: This warranty exclusively covers KMC service replacement parts. KMC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for specific purposes and shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
